Please read these terms carefully before commissioning CleanSlate Restoration
"CleanSlate Restoration", "I", "me", or "my" refers to CleanSlate Restoration Ltd, a specialist graffiti removal and surface restoration company operating throughout England, Scotland, and Wales.
"Client", "you", or "your" refers to the individual, business, organisation, or public authority commissioning services from CleanSlate Restoration.
"Services" refers to all graffiti removal, surface cleaning, anti-graffiti coating application, facade restoration, and related works performed by CleanSlate Restoration.
"Site" refers to the property, building, structure, or area where the commissioned services are to be carried out.
All quotations are provided free of charge following a site survey or assessment of photographs and information supplied by the client. Quotations are valid for 30 days from the date of issue unless otherwise stated in writing.
Quoted prices are based on the scope of work visible or described at the time of assessment. If additional graffiti, contamination, or surface damage is discovered during the course of works that was not apparent during the initial survey, I will notify you promptly and provide a revised quotation before proceeding with any additional work.
For contracted services such as council and housing association programmes, pricing schedules are agreed in advance and documented within the contract framework. Pricing reviews are conducted annually or at intervals specified in the contract.
Standard Works: Payment is due within 14 days of invoice date unless alternative terms have been agreed in writing. I accept bank transfer, company cheque, and major credit or debit cards.
Contract Clients: Invoices are raised monthly in arrears against completed works. Payment terms for contract clients are 30 days from invoice date unless otherwise specified in the signed agreement.
Large Projects: For works quoted above £2,500, a deposit of 30% may be required before mobilisation. The balance is invoiced upon satisfactory completion of the project.
Late Payment: Overdue invoices will incur interest at 3% above the Bank of England base rate in accordance with the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998. I reserve the right to suspend services to clients with outstanding balances exceeding 60 days.
I aim to commence all non-emergency works within 5 working days of receiving confirmed instructions and any required deposit. Actual start dates depend on current workload, weather conditions, and access arrangements.
Completion timescales provided are estimates given in good faith. CleanSlate Restoration shall not be held liable for delays caused by adverse weather, restricted site access, unforeseen surface conditions, or circumstances beyond my reasonable control.
All works are carried out by trained, qualified operatives using professional equipment and approved cleaning agents. I maintain full public liability insurance and employer's liability insurance throughout the duration of every project.
Upon completion, I provide photographic evidence of the finished result. For contracted clients, this documentation is included in monthly reporting packs along with details of response times achieved and volumes of work completed.
Prior to commencing any work, my technicians conduct a surface risk assessment to identify the substrate type, condition, existing coatings, and any factors that may affect the cleaning process or outcome.
While I take every reasonable precaution to protect surfaces during graffiti removal, certain substrates may exhibit residual effects following treatment. These include but are not limited to:
I will advise you before commencing work if my assessment indicates a risk of any residual effect. In such cases, I will discuss available options and agree the best course of action with you before proceeding.
My emergency response service operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for offensive, hate crime, or high-profile graffiti requiring urgent removal. Emergency call-out requests should be sent via email to enquiries@cleanslaterestoration.co.uk.
I aim to have operatives on site within 4 hours for emergency call-outs within my core coverage area, and within 24 hours for locations outside the core zone. These response times are targets rather than guarantees and may be affected by simultaneous demand, weather, or access restrictions.
Emergency works are charged at my standard rates unless a specific emergency tariff has been agreed within a contract framework. There is no additional premium for unsocial hours call-outs on contracted accounts.
Sacrificial Coatings: Sacrificial anti-graffiti coatings are designed to be removed along with graffiti during the cleaning process. These coatings require reapplication after each cleaning event. I warrant that sacrificial coatings will perform as specified for a period of 12 months from the date of application, provided the surface is not subjected to mechanical damage or unauthorised cleaning.
Permanent Coatings: Permanent anti-graffiti coatings are warranted for a period of 5 years from the date of application against peeling, bubbling, and loss of anti-graffiti function under normal conditions. This warranty is subject to the surface remaining free from structural movement, water ingress, and physical damage.
The warranty does not cover:
The client is responsible for providing safe, legal access to the site and the surfaces to be treated. This includes arranging scaffolding permits, road closures, parking suspensions, and tenant notifications where required.
If access equipment such as scaffolding, mobile elevated work platforms (MEWPs), or rope access is required, this will be specified and costed within the quotation. Any changes to access arrangements after quotation acceptance may result in revised pricing.
I reserve the right to postpone or suspend works if site conditions are deemed unsafe by my operatives. No liability shall be accepted for delays arising from unsafe access conditions that were not disclosed or apparent at the time of quotation.
Standard works may be cancelled free of charge with a minimum of 48 hours written notice before the scheduled start date. Cancellations made with less than 48 hours notice may incur an abortive visit charge of up to £150 to cover mobilisation costs.
Contract services are subject to the cancellation and termination provisions set out within the individual contract agreement. Standard notice periods for ongoing contracts are 90 days unless otherwise specified.
Emergency call-outs cancelled after operatives have been dispatched will be subject to a minimum call-out charge as detailed in the original quotation or contract schedule.
My total liability for any claim arising from the provision of my services shall not exceed the total value of the contract or quotation to which the claim relates.
CleanSlate Restoration shall not be liable for any indirect, consequential, or incidental losses including but not limited to loss of revenue, business interruption, or third-party claims arising from the performance or non-performance of my services.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits my liability for death or personal injury caused by my negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.
CleanSlate Restoration is committed to minimising the environmental impact of my operations. All chemical cleaning agents used are selected for their biodegradability and low toxicity profile. I comply with the Environmental Protection Act 1990 and the Control of Substances Hazardous to Health Regulations 2002 (COSHH).
Waste water and chemical run-off are contained and disposed of in accordance with Environment Agency guidelines. I hold appropriate waste carrier licences and ensure that all waste generated during my operations is processed through licensed facilities.
COSHH data sheets and method statements are available upon request for all chemicals and processes used on your site. Risk assessments specific to each project are prepared and held on file for inspection by the client or their appointed health and safety representatives.
These terms and conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from or in connection with these terms or the services provided by CleanSlate Restoration shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
If any provision of these terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
